It was so exciting to hear two of my original songs premiered by some amazing talent at the wonderful Duplex Cabaret and Piano Bar in NYC!

Here is my song “How Dare You” sung by MEGHANN REYNOLDS (Show Me A Hero, HBO)

How dare you act professional and grown up and impress them with your put together mask and your soul bound up in glass

How dare you now present yourself with pride as I resent myself inside and burn with shame, while I smile and praise your name!

You dare with your façade to be this upright noble God when only I can see the shape of a slimy lying snake

You dare to put me on parade, I’ve whored myself to make you stay, I can’t live with myself – now I have nobody else.

And my song “Picture Frame,” sung by SHARAE MOULTRIE (A New Brain, Gallery Players)

Your heart may not feel as pure
Hearts learn more as they mature
Give it time, the hurt will lessen
Search your mind and count your blessings
Picture doesn’t fit the frame
Does anything just stay the same?
Picture hanging on the wall
Little girl, you have it all.
