With your support, “Imprints” – a full length drama about healing from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through art, music and the power of family – is going to take the stage this year!

Healing Through Art:  Making “Imprints” on Healing

Now, in honor of the message behind “Imprints” which is how the arts are used to heal, I am pledging to create something every day on Patreon – because I’m still healing too!

Here’s what I’ve been up to today:

Love was clearly on my mind, I guess.

I’ve also been playing around with felt and fabric in my art room.

You can check out some more of my work in my online galleries.  I’ve just added ten new pages to my mixed media gallerybecause when I say that I’m pledging to create every day in the hopes to bring Imprints to the stage, I mean it!

Looking for new art ideas…Where do you get your inspiration?
I’ve been really fixated on altering things lately after the fun I had with my $10 globe, which you can check out here.  Here are step by step photos of how I made this globe.

And so I scavenged Home Goods again delighted to see that they got a huge shipment of clocks – for $7!

Do you have any “timely” ideas?  Suggestions needed!

So here’s the question for you – I bought two clocks to alter – and I am quite QUITE excited about them.  However, it was really hard to make a selection.  Any guesses which two I chose?  (Hint:  I always go for what might make the best tree foundation of course!)

Before I go…
So, if you’re wanting to do some visual travel today, you can view the 40 breathtaking places to see before you die…
Or the 23 craziest Japanese inventions you never knew existed…

But you know what – it’s beautiful out.

Thanks for supporting creativity, art, healing and bringing marginalized voices center stage through theatre.  Make a pledge at!

The Sky is Blue

Here’s a picture of my amazing cast doing a short excerpt from Imprints called “The Sky is Blue” – it centers on the moment I told my mother I was sexually abused, which you can read in her own words here.

And meet the real-life inspiration behind this scene – my parents, of course!

The cast spent so much time rehearsing and really putting their hearts into this piece – which is all about my family in the ICU learning about my abuse…from my mother.  It took heart, care and craft to really embody this piece, and these actors were up to the challenge and MORE!  Thank you cast!

It was a great night at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and a great sneak peek of what we’ll hopefully bring to the New York Stage this Year!

“Any patch of sunlight in a wood will show you something about the sun which you could never get from reading books on astronomy. These pure and spontaneous pleasures are ‘patches of Godlight’ in the woods of our experience.”
