Mental Health Awareness Week is October 4th – 10th.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate all year long.
the state or condition of being in good physical and mental health.
Celebrating Mental Health Awareness means taking a proactive approach to wellness.
It means taking care of the most important person in the world:
How will you take care of YOU this week?
- Start an art journal
- See the world creatively
- Make a gratitude list
- Get outside
- Find a book that inspires you
- Find a role model
- Cook a nourishing meal
- Practice positive thinking
- Do some yoga and get active
- Tell your story
- Reach out to a friend
- Love your body
- Learn something new
- Get a little crafty
I’ll be taking Gutless & Grateful to Denver to benefit the Eating Recovery Foundation of Colorado this month, and then to college campuses across the country. With an empowered approach to mental health, anyone can be surprised by the strength of the human spirit.
Know the facts and learn about what wonderful resources there are out there, chock full of tips, ways to get help, things you should know, and how to get the help you need.
Learn more through some wonderful organizations, just to name a few:
Whether it’s healthy food…
Or the little friends all around us…
Make sure you tell yourself how loved you are.
How are you taking care of YOU this week?
